Evan started preschool last month, and it's been such a busy time of lots of new things in his life: new schedules, new friends, new teachers, even new foods. For the most part, he loves school. He gets so excited when he gets to be a daily helper, such as "fish feeder" (feeding the fish in the aquarium), "flag helper" (holding the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance) and--his favorite--"line leader" (leading the line of kids to the play yard).
We've gotten a few art items home, and this one is quite a gem. While Nathan has been drawing up a storm for years, Evan hasn't been as interested in drawing other than scribbling. This was the first time I really saw him draw figures, and I love the insight into his personality, not to mention his artistic style.
Note that all of us have flat hair on top, super ginormous eyes, small limbs coming directly out of our heads (no bodies necessary), and smiles. We thought the depiction of Nathan was especially funny, since his slanted eyebrows make him look, well, mean and/or angry. Was that Evan's intention? Well, you can "draw" your own conclusions!
